Emilia Romagna has always been famous as Italy’s motor valley. The nearby village of Loiano on the SP 65 Futa provincial road is a stopover point in the classic Mille Miglia car rally held in mid-May.
Motoring enthusiasts can also enjoy the nearby Ducati (Bologna), Ferrari (Maranello), Maserati (Modena) and Lamborghini (Sant’Agata Bolognese) museums, all of which are within easy reach of the Lodole Country House thanks to the A1 motorway that connects Rioveggio with Bologna and Modena.

Close to Lodole Country House, about half an hour along the A1 motorway, there is the Mugello racetrack. Out of the many sporting events held on the track, the most famous is the Italian motorcycle Grand Prix, which is held every year, and is part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season.
