The Etruscan city of Pian di Misano, with its rigorously orthogonal urban layout, is located along the Porrettana road in Marzabotto in the Bolognese Apennine. It was considered an almost colonial type of settlement, following a reorganizational resettlement of the Reno valley, which took place perhaps under the protection of the Etruscan centre of Felsina.
Next to the archaeological area there is the “P. Aria” National Archaeological Museum, which houses most of the finds from the site.
