Bologna’s “Guglielmo Marconi” airport  is one of Italy’s major airports in terms of the number of international destinations it serves.
The airport offers 80 scheduled flights including 13 domestic, 62 international and 5 intercontinental flights.

Many national flagship airlines fly from Bologna as well as numerous low cost airlines, including:

  • Alitalia, Air France, Aegean Airlines, Austrian, British Airways, Brussels Airline, Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa, Meridiana, Air Moldova, Blu Air, Emirates, Jetairfly, Livingston, Mistral Air, Neos, Pegasus Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Transavia, Tunisair, Vueling, Wizz Air;
  • Easy Jet, Germanwings, Ryanair, WindJet.

Its highly strategic position (just 6 km from the city centre) has led to the airport becoming the gateway to Bologna, a city with many qualities that attract both classic tourism and business tourism. Bologna, in fact,  plays a fundamental role in the Italian cultural panorama, on account of its artistic and historical heritage, and on its financial horizon, thanks to the city’s important trade fair district. The Bologna Trade Fair boasts a packed and varied calendar of internationally important events and exhibitions that bring sector operators to Bologna Airport from all over the world.  Lodole Country House can be easily reached from Bologna Airport in about thirty minutes by taking the A1 motorway towards Florence (Firenze) and then turning off at the Sasso Marconi or Rioveggio exit.
